Latest Scam: Incoming Mail on Hold

Did you get a notice from GoDaddy that some of your e-mail is on hold?

I did…and it is a FAKE!  DO NOT CLICK ON ANY OF THE LINKS!

Clues to the scam:

  • It is shown as coming from “Godaddy Inc.”, where they would normally send from “GoDaddy”, with uppercase “D”, and no “Inc.” suffix.
  • The email address is not from GoDaddy, but from an address @magusict.net – research shows the domain owned by an individual in Tobago.
  • If you mouse-over the email address link in the page, it will show that it is NOT your e-mail address

In short:

  • Don’t click any links!
  • Immediately delete it!
  • Stay safe!
